As adults we often find ourselves searching for deeper meaning in life. Whether struggling with challenges, or feeling like we have it all, life can still feel devoid of meaning. Is this really all there is?
This restlessness can be a sign of the Holy Spirit working in your life, inviting you to explore the seeds of faith planted in your heart. Developing a relationship with Jesus, our Lord and Savior, brings the richest meaning to our lives here on earth. The process of becoming Catholic allows you to follow where the Spirit is leading while learning more about our faith and reaching out to others in the community.
OCIA refers to the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (formerly RCIA). It is the journey or process that leads to full initiation into the Catholic Church. It's an opportunity to to participate in a group that explores faith and scripture together. When ready you celebrate the sacraments of Baptism (if never baptized), Confirmation and Eucharist.
You may inquire about OCIA at any time during the year, as well as preparing for just the Sacrament of Confirmation as an adult. Most importantly, attend weekly Mass, take it all in, and get to know the faith community. It is never too late to begin preparing to receive the Sacraments and to find your spiritual home. A parish team will work with you year-round, in a group and individually, and welcomes all inquiries! Let us know a little bit about you here and we will be in touch to help you get started.
