We are excited to offer this opportunity to support parents as the first and best educators of the faith for their children. Based on the principle that "Parents are the primary educators in the Faith" [General Directory for Catechesis (GDC) 255], Family Formation revolves around bi-monthly family gatherings and lessons completed at home, children and adults learning together.
PRAY
Families who pray together show children the importance of nurturing a personal relationship with God and give them an authentic model of discipleship.
LEARN
Families who talk together about scripture and Catholic teaching develop a shared language of faith, encourage children to ask questions, and are more likely to remain connected to their faith into adulthood.
ACT
Through service to each other and to their community, families give witness to the gospel message of love for neighbor and show children the impact of a living faith on how we think, what we say, and what we do in our lives every day as followers of Jesus.
