This area, named for the statues of the Holy Family (Sunday after Christmas) on the back wall, collects a number of statues and icons for personal devotion. Rotating throughout the year, these include Saint Anne (July 26), Saint Francis Xavier Cabrini (November 13), Saint Francis (October 4), the Infant of Prague (January 14), and more.
This area also includes an image of Our Mother of Perpetual Help (also known as Our Lady of Perpetual Help) (June 27), based on a 15th-century Byzantine icon of the Madonna and Child. Here, Mary comforts the Child Jesus as he turns in fear from the Archangels Michael (L) and Gabriel (R), who brandish the instruments of the passion (lance and sponge on the left; 3-bar cross and nails on the right). The Greek inscriptions read MP-ΘΥ (for Μήτηρ Θεοῦ, Mother of God), ΟΑΜ (Ὁ Ἀρχάγγελος Μιχαήλ, Michael the Archangel), ΟΑΓ (Ὁ Ἀρχάγγελος Γαβριήλ, Gabriel the Archangel) and IC-XC (Ἰησοῦς Χριστός, Jesus Christ), respectively.
