This is an opportunity to become involved with a new energetic group of Catholic men whose mission is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. We also are committed to supporting the Church of the Holy Spirit, Fr. Schwartz, our clergy, and our local community through the core principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.
Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to men 18 years of age or older who are practicing Roman Catholics. Our membership meetings are once each month. With numerous activities that we are involved in, your time commitment is entirely up to you.
Doing good works, having fun, building brotherhood!
Our four core principles are Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
Charity: By conducting food drives, donating food to local soup kitchens, providing dinners for the homeless, by supporting mothers, both spiritually and materially, who choose life for their babies, we bring our Catholic faith teachings " Love thy neighbor as thy self " alive.
Unity: Members together can accomplish far more than any of us could accomplish individually. You can count on the support and encouragement of you brother Knights as you work to improve the quality of life.
Fraternity: The venerable Fr. Michael J. McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus, in large part, to provide assistance to widows and children left behind, when the breadwinner died often prematurely due to industrial work. The Orders' top rated insurance program continues to do this today, as do individual Knights, who last year gave more than 10 million hours of their time to assist sick and/or disabled members and their families.
Patriotism: The Knights are proud of devotion to God and country, and believe in standing up for both. Whether in public or private, the Knights support their nation and are amongst the greatest citizens.
