School 50 Classroom Support

Helen Barrett Montgomery School #50 needs volunteers to provide small group and classroom support to students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. If a volunteer has a strong preference for students in higher grades, that can usually be accommodated. No prior teaching experience is needed, though some experience with children is helpful. The major focus is on helping children to read, though occasional help with math is also needed. Volunteers come for as little as an hour/week or as much as all day twice/week. Most of us are retired and do some traveling. As long as the teacher knows when to expect you, things are flexible. And you get summers off!
