The Liturgy is the ‘source and summit’ of parish life.
Vision Statement: "The liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed; at the same time it is the font from which all her power flows." (S.C. 10) Our goal is to assist in leading all ages to
‘that fully conscious and active participation in liturgical celebrations.’ (SC 14) By recognizing the giftedness and holiness of each person, we strive to see the presence of Christ in all we do.
The
Joint Worship Team is currently re-organizing. Our mission is always to learn more about the liturgy and its official documents and to prepare the liturgy celebrated throughout the liturgical year. We strive to empower others for liturgical ministry. We gather people with strengths and interest in either learning more about the Mass or engaging in participation in the liturgy.
Some
gifts and charisms that our members have and that we are always looking for are: the thirst for knowledge about the liturgy and it’s theology and history; gifts of creativity, sense of humor, a sense of environment and art in a sacred space, organizational skills, the ability to evaluate and build upon our liturgical experience from year to year are all important components to building a strong leadership team for worship.
By virtue of our baptism, each member of the assembly is invited and encouraged to take part in some way with the preparation and celebration of the liturgy. You are welcome to join this vibrant and fun team. For more information, please contact
